Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NIV) 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

… He [God] would not have allowed His Son [Jesus Christ] to die and suffer if there was no purpose in it. But there was a purpose in it. A wonderful purpose in it! And that purpose was reconciliation. …

agreement, compromise, harmony, rapprochement, settlement

I think I like this one best of all though rapprochement: the development of friendlier relations between countries or groups of people who have been enemies.

Just what is reconciliation? Well let us take a look and see: the act of causing two people or groups to become friendly again after an argument or disagreement. The process of finding a way to make two different ideas, facts, etc., exist or be true at the same time

So basically  we have been reconciled with God through Jesus Christ. When Christ went to the cross he took everything with him and took care of it all. If one has excepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, when our Father looks down he is not looking at us physically He sees us through the blood of Jesus. He does not look at this mortal body He looks at our heart.

I love this story of Peter he tells Jesus that he is on his side that HE would never turn against Him, and Jesus tells him he will deny Him 3 time before the rooster crows. And that goes back to Psalms 1:1. DO NOT walk with sin, stand with sin or sit with sin.

So Peter did all three that night and Jesus looked him in the eye as the rooster crowed. Now in the natural if that happened Peter would have been finished, the end, no more Peter. However God saw Peters heart thus who preached on the day of Pentecost… Peter did and God looks at us the same exact way. Jesus paid the price for all that believes.
