Righteous Anger

Exodus 4:14 (NKJV) So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

Was God angry with Moses, yes. Why was he angry, first because his unbelief and second because Moses resisted obeying the command of God to go to Egypt and confront Pharaoh. He needed to demand or insist that he let God’s people go. God was angry because of the mistreatment of His people the helpless, the strangers and even the widows and orphans as we read in Exodus 22:21-24 God was also angered because of the men turning from trusting and worshiping Him, to the worship of idols as we see in Exodus 32:10; Deuteronomy 6:14-15; Judges 2:13-14; Ezra 8:22. God is angered by the gripping or grumbling and complaining of His people as we see in Numbers 11:1, we see in Numbers 11:10, even Moses was angered which is often expressed by resistance to His appointed leadership Numbers 12:9.

All of this which upset God to anger seem reasonable enough, but there are times when men may commit offenses which seem minor to us, and yet which brings or causes God to anger. For instance in 1 Samuel 4. The ark of the covenant had been taken by the Philistines, and was kept for a short time as a trophy in the house of their god, Dagon. The problem with this was that God shamed their “god” and caused a plague to fall on those in whose city the ark was being kept. Eventually, the ark was returned by the Philistines, transported on an ox cart. I will stop here and maybe write an article later on this whole mess. However this is an example of Righteous Anger. Let me leave you with these 3 points:

1. God’s righteous anger is not rash or hostile attitude. Psalms 103:8-9.
2. Jesus Christ said unrighteous anger and hate break the spirit of the commandment about murder. Matthew 5:21-22.
3. We should follow Christ’s example of only allowing controlled, righteous anger for a time, and then being forgiving. Ephesians 4:26-27,and in Ephesians 4: 31-32.

Memory Verse for November 8, 2015

Ephesians 4:31-32 (NKJV) 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

  1. Well I used to get mad at things I plan didnt go the way I wanted them to. And when I had a plan it made me mad when somebody made a way of messing with my plan. I dont like to be told to do. All this came from my family. My Daddy used to beat my mamma. So basically my life sucked. No attention help with home work. Its long so I dont want to tell my whole life history. But I have always been that way. I said if a man ever hit me it would be his last!! ~For a long time I had a big problem with some one telling me what to do. But when I fell in love with my PRECIOUS JESUS THAT CHANCED!!~I didnt even know what love was never had that. Well God peeled me off a layer at time. He has healed me in so many ways and he had to pull out the anger and replace it with something wonderful. But I have learned to obey him and him only LOL no kidding depends. I have asked God a week or so ago to purge my heart of every thing that was not of him. He slapped one on me that fast, I couldn’t believe it!!~ I do that?? O Yes you do!!~OK not anymore!! Forgive me!!~ If you ask him to purge your heart you better be ready for a surprise, I ant done yet. I need to let go off somethings no about people but just stuff I never was in there. I am becoming obedient!!~~~ OH AND PRAISE GOD IM NOT HOW I USED TO!!!~ BUT I GOT A LOT TO GO!!~~I love this it was awesome!!!
