Saying what we mean. We stand in the pews on Sunday morning and sing some beautiful Hymns. Are they just words are do we mean them? Being a Christian is not a Sunday morning thing walk out light up or cigarette or the local bar to watch the game and believe we are going to Heaven. What about 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

Saying What We Mean, Meaning What We Say Do We?
by Jym Wells 06/29/2019

Christianity is not a game it is a life. Following Jesus in ALL that we do. Believing in Him trusting in Him. I was talking to a lady Thursday and I asked her if she believed in Jesus was she a Christian. This was after putting her husband down about his doing things for Jesus.

I asked her does she trust Jesus and she responded, yes. I responded “no you do not!” She looked at me with that deer in the headlight look… You say you love and trust Jesus however you do not BELIEVE he can change your husband. That is not TRUSTING and BELIEVING in Jesus. All things are possible Mark 9:23 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “If you can BELIEVE, ALL THINGS are possible to him who BELIEVES.

We sing songs do we believe them or are they just pretty words of songs we sing in church? There Is Power In The Blood! Do we believe that? Are you free from the burden of your sin? Are you winning the victory over sin? Or are they just words to a song?

How about Nothing But The Blood? This is all my hope and peace, is it? What can make me whole again? Are these just words in a song or do we believe them? How about I’ll wash my garments white in the blood of Calvary’s Lamb. Have you? Jesus Paid It All so why are we carrying that garbage around?

I could write a book about the words of these hymns we sing day-in day-out… Do we mean them or are they just words. It is time it is time for us to pick a side get on it and stay there… It is a choice all the time or it is not. Jesus is not a vending machine we ask and He delivers. Dropping a few dollars in the offering to get something is not His way.

Sunday morning, Sunday night or even Wednesday night is not the answer… Jesus Christ is our Savior following Him even when the gong gets hard. It is do we actually trust and totally believe in Him? That is the question each one of us need to ask ourselves then work out our own salvation.

Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV) 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD

Memory Verse June 29, 2019

Joshua 24:15 (NKJV) And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
