The schemes of satan are always there we have to know the signs and be aware of him and his trickery. For he is out to catch us off guard and sneak in and steal our joy.

1 Peter 5:6-8(NKJV) 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

As we go through our day, we stumble upon problems that pop up. We always seem to have something that comes our way to get us discouraged, or try to lose hope in the Lord. Although it may seem like it’s just something that is an everyday occurrence, it is actually satan waiting for the attack. God’s word says to meditate on His word day and night as it says in Joshua 1:8, Psalms 4:4, Psalms 119:15, Luke 21:14 and Philippians 4:8.

The devil is there with us day and night also waiting for an opportunity to attack us in our weakness. Our weakness comes when we stop meditating on God and gives Satan a crack to squeeze into. We have to be on guard all the time, watching for his schemes, as we read in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NKJV) 13 “for such as false Apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into Apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For satan, himself transformed himself into an angel of Light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into Ministers of righteousness, who’s end, will be according to their work.”

We are to meditate on God’s word so that we can tell the difference between a true prophet of God, delivering God’s message to us, or false prophet reciting verses and turning them into his own words.  Satan roams the Earth, to and fro looking for someone to devour. It says in Job 1:7 (NKJV) ” And the Lord said to satan, ‘From where do you come?‘ So, satan answered the Lord and said, ‘from going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it, satan is always looking to devour ALL of us.

Satan as looking for people who are not focusing on God, or meditating on God’s word. It infuriates him because he can’t gain our soul if we are in God’s presence. God is there with us. He will never leave us. It says in Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) “Let your conduct be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have. For He himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.” God is our protector, so be aware of the schemes of the devil.

We must read the Bible and be ready to discern what is of God and what isn’t. It says in Matthew 24:24 (NKJV) “for false Christians and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Also and 1 John 4:1-5 (NKJV) 1 Beloved , do not believe every Spirit, the test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 by this you know the spirit of God, every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 For you are of God little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you, is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.”
