The Seed Sowing and Reaping

The Seed sowing and reaping sow sparingly reap sparingly sow abundantly reap abundantly. 2 Corinthians 9:8 is the reward of sowing the seed and taking care of the hungry. The seed is spreading the word and the hungry is those that wish to learn that is our place.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.   [note: 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 good reading to understand]

The old saying you reap what you sow comes to mind here. Let us say that you are a farmer and you have a small 100 acres and you go out and plow an acre do all it needs then plant corn in that acre then go home and pray for 90 acres of corn. That is not how it works. Or let us say you do plow and sow the 90 acres then when you have finished you realize you planted soy beans not corn reaping what you sowed comes into effect here. You may wish for corn however you will receive soy beans.

Paul starts out by saying in 2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Then in verse 10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, I feel supplying the seed is when we share with others, if they accept or not, this is our 2 Corinthians 9:8 here if we do what we are to do then our Lord will supply to us all that we need and more.

I also believe that when we get to heaven we will be surprised at the number of souls that are there because of what we do and say to others. I pray this has helped with the understanding of sowing and reaping.
