No Servant Can Serve Two Masters Choose For Yourselves

A servant, nor anyone else, in fact, can serve two masters and most of us know it and have tried it ones or twice.  We need to make a choice bluntly God or satan, you are either in or out that is the choices…

Luke 16:13 (NKJV) “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” So what is being said here we first need to read the whole chapter to get what is being said here. I do believe it is coming a time quickly when we well have to choose for yourselves.

We read here that the Master heard the servant was basically not being honest. So he questioned him and said give an account of yourself, what are you doing? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’ So the servant started thinking I have to make some friends her quickly for I can not do hard labor nor can I beg for I am to proud for that.

He goes out and starts cutting deals with the debtors of his Master. He rewriting the agreements of the debts to his Master trying to make friends for himself. So basically we see him cheating his Master to better himself. So thus comes Luke 16:13, we see this everyday in our world. People chasing after the all might dollar. We do need money to pray our bills, however to basically still from our Boss to get what we want or lie to the people we talk to is wrong.

Trusting God is trusting God there is no in between, the church is full of people who want to serve the Lord however they do not want to trust in him. Let us look at Mark 10:17-31 two verses there stand out to me first Mark 10:21 (NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” and second 10:22 (NKJV) But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Let us not be like the servant nor the rich young ruler. They both was after the wrong thing. The put the world and the worldly possessions about God. I will end with one of my favorites it is found in Joshua 24:15 (NKJV) And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
