All of us should be learning to set your mind on thing above and do not set your mind on the things of the world. For we are bigger and better than that and one must set your mind on the things that will be stored up in heave for us.

Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Set your mind on things above,
Let us look at the word Set; to think on or about heavenly things:
Matthew 16:23 (NKJV)  But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.

Romans 8:5 (NKJV) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, [ set their minds on]the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

not on things on the earth. The lusts of the flesh, The love of the world;
Let us now look at what we should not be doing:
Proverbs 23:5 (NKJV) Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

Romans 8:6 (NKJV) For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Matthew 6:19 (NKJV) “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

Luke 12:15 (NKJV) And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness,[all covetousness] for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.

Philippians 3:19 (NKJV) whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.

Philippians 3:17-19 (NKJV) 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.

1 John 2:15 (NKJV) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

So let us set our minds on things above. How one might say—by studying the word, praying, reading, listening and watching things of God.
