Colossians 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness[greed], which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
I see Pastor after Pastor wrapped up in greed out after the almighty dollar, which will melt away like the snow in the spring time. This world [our enemy] is consumed with this problem and setting us up to fall. If you have never been to one I would suggest that you take one weekend, get out of the city and into small town America. I believe when a building gets to big for the Pastor to know all the members by name it has gotten out of hand setting goals are great however do not make them the center POINT.
Find one of those little churches were the cars are parked in the grass and the Pastor drives a pickup truck with something like “We Make Your Dreams Come True” written on the side. He is not depending on te Church supporting him fully he gets up every morning and goes to work just as you do. Go in an meet some of the sweetest and greatest people in America, that when they say I love you is meant and it comes from the heart, he may not be wearing a $800 suit or a $80 shirt. He may not have a $300 bible nor the system to put it all on a screen up front.
Then listen to a Preacher Preach, he may not use all those $1000 words and he may not be able to say the names in the Bible correct, however, he will speak from the heart. When that little country church sings without a $100,000 sound system they sing from the heart and he is not setting you up for anything. There you will find love in its truest form. Where every I love you is from the heart were setting next to some one you have never met feels like you have known them forever. Try it some day soon.
