The Sinful Nature Is Not Me, Now It Is Christ Living In Me

The sinful nature is the nature of this world not of Christ. So we, as Christians, can not live by or in the flesh but in the Spirit. We are Christians meaning we are Christ—like. Jesus died to get rid of our sinful nature… I believe it is time we start living in Galatians 2:20 (MEV) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Scripture For Today

Romans 8:9-10 (MEV) 9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 And if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is alive because of righteousness.

If Anyone, Reading This, Is Not Saved

You are living in the flesh and not in the Spirit for the Holy Spirit does not live in the world. Yes He is here for us and lives in us as Christians. I see this as what they used to say “straddling the fence”. But if one reads the Scriptures that can not be done.

One is either a Christian or one is not. One is either totally living by the Word of our Lord or one is not. Going to church will not make one a Christian nor will reading the Bible… Living it 24/7 is what being a Christian is about.

Not one of us is or will be perfect, here on earth, however that does not mean or gives us a licenses to not try. We should strive to be as close to, like Jesus, as we can. We have to work at it and know it and live it and yes BE IT!

I pray that this helps us get rid of more of this “Sinful Nature”. And grow stronger in the Love of our Lord…
