Submission What Does It Mean To Us As Christians

Submission: The act or fact of submitting to the power of another. If we could only grasp this and do it our lives would be so simple. But doubt, fear and not understanding stops us from doing it. OH yes, every now and then we submit when we see there is no way out.

I am talking about total submission to our Father. Accepting what Jesus did for us and understanding that our Father desires to take care of us, better than we can ourselves if we would only let Him.

1 Peter 2:21-24 (NKJV) 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for [you]us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [wounds]stripes you were healed.

A few years back at a church in Phoenix AZ I was listening to a man speak on healing and what he was saying just did not sit will with me. I could not understand what he was talking about when he started talking about healing…

I had read Isaiah 53 (NKJV) But He was wounded[pierced through] for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes[blows that cut in] we are healed. And then 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [wounds]stripes you were healed.

I started doing some searching and I found that the word strips in Hebrew means bruise, Something just was not setting right with me about this and what I was hearing. Then I was talking with a very good Christian friend and was pointed to a word that I had not thought of manifestation…

According to what I was reading it had already been done when Jesus said “It Is Finished” He meant all was taken care of. So if that is true then we have already been healed so what we need to do is wait for the manifestation of the healing to get to us…

I went back and found in the book Daniel 10:11-13 where he had prayed and the answer took 21 days for the answer to come. Why? The enemy he was called in this scripture the prince of the kingdom of Persia. (But the prince of the kingdom of Persia [a demon] withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael [an archangel], one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”)

So it took 21 days for an answer to show up. That is what we have to learn is that sometimes there is a war going on for the healing to show up. How, when and where is up to our Father and what we have to do is trust and believe in Him to manifest the healing to us…

I hope this shows or tells you why I pray the way I do about healing.
