Law or Grace Go And Sin No More

Law or Grace by Faith is something that gets a lot of us in trouble.  Others try to you under the law and it is not true, for we are saved by Grace through our Faith Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

We are all familiar with this story in John 5 (NIV) “The Healing as the Pool” How Jesus healed this man on the Sabbath and how the Jewish Leaders went after him for what he was doing. So with this story behind us I would like to concentrate on verses 22 and 23.

John 5:22-23 (NIV) 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

He is telling the Leaders about what God has given him, all judgment is given to the Son well we all know who the Son is and we all know what he did for us. Later in the scripture we read where Jesus talks to the woman at the well in John 4:26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you… I am he.”26 Here he declares He is the Messiah.

Next He tells the Jewish Leaders He is given all judgement and after he tells  this woman He is the Messiah. Then as we read on we find that he is talking to the woman accused of adultery John 8:10-11 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,[Text omits and saw no one but the woman] “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn [accuse] you; go and sin no more.”

Now we see that Jesus is not here to condemn or accuse anyone he came to set us free from sin as found in Romans 6:22 (NKJV) But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. So now we see we are not under the Law we are living under grace John 1:17 (NKJV) For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Then in Romans 8:2 (NIV) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

I will end with this with this verse and ask this question Law or Grace you decide. Galatians 2:21 (NKJV) I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

I pray now that we work on understanding grace and what Jesus did for us by giving His life on the cross… He sat us free from the law and now we live in His grace. Do you wish to live under the law or grace. Again it is your choice…

Memory Verse for March 20, 2016

Romans 8:2 (NIV) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
