The Temple of God

What is the temple of God? Who is the temple of God? Why is anyone the temple of God? Questions I pray to start answering in this devotional for I feel the Lord has laid this on my heart to help us understand just who we are in the family of God

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

As we head into a new year, I feel the Lord is saying to me to teach His children just who they are in Christ. To teach the power that we, as Christians, have and to not take it for granted that it is there and to use it in a way that our Father desires us to use it. So here we go hang on.

Just who are we in Christ? Paul tells in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 that we are the temple of God, in fact he uses the word TEMPLE 4 time in these two verses. When we accepted Jesus we became a part of the body of Christ as we see in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14. So let us pray and seek our Fathers wish to find what part of the body we are.

Let us unite as a family and become what our Father desires us to be. Is there anyone in either of these groups that think they just happened to stubble onto us. There is not one person believer or unbeliever that is here by and accident I believe that we all are here by appointment, We are here to grow and be an example to a dying world that there is a better way. So we are going on a journey in 2016 to become and to be all that our Father desires us to be.

Are you with me? As we dive into the water we have all we need to become all we need to become. We are children of God, we are the temple of God, We are joint heirs with Jesus.
