A Thought Did The Law Die To The Law

The thought of Jesus shedding His blood for us so that we could live a life forgiven, no guilt all at once life becomes very simple.  There is nothing complicated about it at all.  If we are being what we should be doing then when people see us they see Jesus.

A Thought Did The Law Die To The Law

Galatians 2:17-21 (NKJV) 1 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore, a minister of sin? Certainly not! 18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Just a thought do we really understand verse 20 when we accepted Jesus we accepted what he did for us by shedding His blood he covered our sins, PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE, There is no sin that Jesus has not covered once we grasp this we grasp verse 20. The old man died on the cross with Jesus there is nothing back there that is important. My past life is the past and it has been left there, not completely, however, I am working on it. Then we understand that as we go about our daily duties we are representing Jesus for there is no old us just the new.

My thought of what Paul is saying, about the idea of salvation by works, or salvation by acts that we perform as prescribed by ritual or customs–he shows, that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. the strength of Paul’s argument comes in verse 21, “ If righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead for nothing.” or there was no reason or need for Christ to die. If a man can save himself by works. Paul puts it very clearly on the matter. He said it as he can, “If righteousness come by the law, then Christ died in nothing.”

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
