My Thoughts on Christmas and the World

I have read and listened to others share about Christmas. A large amount of them were not believers. I watch them pushing and shoving one another, trying to get all that shopping done. Again a large majority of them spending money they do not have to spend really. Running up bills on Credit Cards that they can not afford. Why I ask myself, why do we have to have the tree with all the lights or have our homes all lite up.
I would like each to think about what I am going to say, take a minute and let it soak in, for this is how I really my thoughts of Christmas and the world:
I am your friend, I am, in fact your best friend. Your birthday is coming up in a few months. So I sign up for this Ancestry group and I get busy I find family members and through a lot of calling and writing I find you old school friends, old neighbors, I mean just about every one that knows you from old jobs, from former employers. I make arrangements to get them all to where we are.
I rent a large building and I have decorators to come and decorate this building completely and tables and refreshment and food and live music to play your favorite music. I mean nothing held back I want you to realize how much we care about you. In the middle of this place I have a platform built for you. It stands about 5 feet high with steps on both sides. I mean I want you to be happy with this day. Now it is kept a secret from you totally.
I tell you that I would like to take you out for dinner for your birthday. The day is finally is here and I come by and pick you up and on the way to your favorite restaurant, which I had hired to caterer the party. I tell you that I need to make a stop off and drop off something. I get out of the car and as you to come on it with me there is no use in just sitting here in the car. So you get out and we walk through the door and the lights are all out. I say in a loud voice Mr Clause are you here.
The lights come on and everyone is shouting and singing Happy Birthday! You are over whelmed as people stat shouting to you. I escort you up to your chair on the pedestal and explain what I have done for you. Sitting you down I had you a drink and some of your favorite food and then I go down and start talking with your friends, family, neighbors, school buddies and others. A few wander up and say Happy Birthday. However for the most part we ignored you. Then all at once we start handing out gifts to others. However not one was given to you. We were celebrating your birthday however nothing was for you.
How would you feel? Really stop now and think about how you would feel…
Now look around at this world are they really celebrating Jesus’ Birthday in fact they do not want to say his name. They say Xmas, they say happy holidays, they say season greetings. However not Merry Christmas… They do not want Nativities displayed. They are trying to take Jesus out of Christmas and My Thoughts on Christmas and the World.
