Todays Church Is It What God Desires

Church… Is It What God was Referring to? I feel that the real Church has been lost in the shuffle. I feel the god is being escorted to the door of today’s church. We just wrote and article about Chrislam,as it is called, Sandy talks about the mixture of God and Muslims the mixture of Christian beliefs and Muslim beliefs. I guess my question is if your church decided to have a Sunday service combining Christian beliefs and Witchcraft would you have a problem with it. On our site there is a list of churches that I guess did not have a problem with the Muslim belief or the Koran because there are 71 churches on that list that had the Koran in their building this past Sunday.
The first thing that came to my mind was how would God be feeling right now at what is going on : All verses are from the NIV Bible Exodus 34:14 Do Not worship any other god for the LORD, whose name is Jealous is a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 6:15 For the LORD your God who is among you is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land.
Deuteronomy 32:21 They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols, I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.
Joshua 24:19 Joshua said to the people, “you are not able to serve the LORD, He is a hole God, He is a Jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.
Nahum 1:2The LORD is a jealous and an avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies.
Romans 12: 1-2 1I urge you, brothers and sisters in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship. 2DO NOT conform to the patter of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.
I feel that what went on this past Sunday is nothing more than making a mockery of God and his Church. If you read the scripture in Romans 12: 2 I underline highlighted and italicized DO NOT. Paul did not say should not shall not or even better not he said DO NOT. So that is why I am going to spend the time to do this and try to explain what I feel and believe is going on today.
The Church today what is it…
A place for public worship?
The body of people who attend or belong to a particular local church?
A service conducted in a church (building)?
One of the groups of Christians who have their own beliefs and forms of worship?
Is this what Jesus was talking about? A building, I don’t think so, a Temple or a synagogue was a building. I think the Church Jesus was referring to in: Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (Talking to Peter about Peter)
Matthew 18:15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.(Dealing with sin in a brother or sister… church)
Matthew 18:17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church: and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.> (Again take it before the people)
Acts 8:3But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison. (Again he put the people to prison)
Acts 9:31 church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
Acts 15:30>/strong> “>So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter
Well I think this fairly well says what I am saying. The CHURCH is not a building it is the people they are what God is about. The people are who Jesus Christ died on the cross for not some stupid building… Millions of dollars (tithes and offerings) are spent every year for building. For what, do you think God is happy with that big monstrosity that cost millions of dollars. I do not I think the money could have been and should have been spent on food, clothing, rent, necessities for the needy and the poor.
Let’s say just for speaking purposes that a new church building just built seats 6000 people. They invested $200,000 in sound $225,000 in lighting, another $400,000 for TV cameras and production equipment etc… and it only took one year to build, lets see that is 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, or 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes or 31,563,000 seconds to build this building. Did you know that someone dies and goes to hell every 20 SECONDS so we could say outside the millions spent to build it 1, 576,800 souls died and went to hell… Wow now it just got real expensive… I am not saying the ministry stopped working I am saying that I think there are more important things than buildings when it comes to salivation…
Something else I was thinking about… People come up with excuses, not reasons excuses, why they do not witness to people. I do not wish to hurt their feelings, or they might get mad, or they are always busy, or I am not sure of what to say. How about hi there neighbor I was wondering if you would like to go to church with me Sunday. Most people are waiting to be asked. Most people are waiting to be told… Do you know that the average number of Christians in apartment complex’s are about 5%. Let’s put it this way if 3 Christians found one person each and spent six months with them reading the word, talking about the word, teaching them to pray, answering their questions. Oh yes that would mean you would have to study to show yourself approved. 2 Timothy 2:15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
However if you did this and worked at it for 6 months then the 6 of you did the same thing and every 6 months for let’s say 15 years. Starting with 3 Christians there would be 1,610.612,796 souls saved. OK lets say just because have stopped that would leave 805,306,368 or lets half 402, 653,184… That is still many souls saved. That is what I am saying and that was just 3 people. Think about it let’s get over the fancy buildings. In Acts about 120 people was gathered together and Peter stood amongst them and 3000 thousand were saved. Think about it there where 120 and in one day the Church grew to 3120 and then later the same day. Where was the meeting? Was it in a big temple or synagogue or was it in the street… God does not need a building God desires people.
We desire to be pampered in today’s world in America… The praise or worship was to loud the coffee was to strong or to weak, the donuts where not fresh the pews are not soft enough, On and on we complain. Well it is time to wake up. Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”Does anyone see any mountains moving… I myself am ready to see some miracles it is time. We have read and studied the miracles Jesus did over and over… well how many have ever read this. John 1:50< Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” Or how about John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father…
Now did Jesus lie? Or did he say this and you know that Jesus can not and did not lie. However I do not see any of it happening here in America. I do see a bunch of whiners crying about what they do not have. I see people wasting away in Air Conditioned building in padded pews. It is time for us to rise up and speak unto that mountain. What mountain you say. Well how about the ungodly things that is going on right now. How about calling a sin a sin. 50% of Church Pastors or addicted to Porn, Divorce in Christians is at 51%. Do you realize that there are approximately 38,000 Christian denominations
Most teach the Trinity and that the only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ then after that they take off into left field with all the and ifs and buts… I despise Religion it has taken us away from Christ I am madly in love with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and I excepted that. I believe the Bible to be the anointed word of God. I believe that it tells us what to do and what not to do. I believe that we need to read it and know it for out of the Hearth the Mouth speaks. It is time for real Christians to get busy and Stand up and say no more. No to sin, No to the devil, No to the deception… Yes to God
My prayer right now is: Isiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, “Here am I send me!”
