Trust and Obey There Is No Other Way

Trust and obey there is no other way seems simple, doesn’t it?  When I got saved I was walking on a cloud all was OK I was saved and new.  Then as I grew so did the challenges the temptations stronger.  No one knows how many time I got to the cashier and realized I had a beer and not a bottle of pop, and turn around and take it back.  Trust and obey for there’s no other way.  So what I started doing was using that beer as a tool to talk to the cashier about Jesus.  OH my I am sorry I did not mean to get a beer I just got saved and I am so used to that let me take it back and get a soda.  When I came back I would ask if they new Jesus as their savior.  Simple and most of the time I was ignored or they would say nothing or yes or no, and turn around and walk away.

Romans 2:13  Hearing the law does not make a person right with God. People are considered to be right with God only when they obey the law.

When I read this verse I think of an old Christian song.  “Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to Trust and obey”.  The Lord is the only answer He is the only way.  We see governments trying to get rid of Him.  Why, because they are not of Him and they are stuck in their rut and the only way out is through the shed blood of Jesus.

I also think of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16  A man came up to Jesus. He asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to receive eternal life?”  However he did not wish to give it up.  Are we ready to give it all up for Jesus.  Are we really ready to say what I have is Yours do with it as You please.  I had rather be happy in Jesus that to have all the riches in this world.  Then we will see the awesome mighty Power of God come alive in us.  He, Jesus  gave the young ruler three chances, and the last one was just to see if he really wanted to follow. Trust and obey, that was the bottom line trust and obey for there is no other way…
