We, as Christians, need to show the unsaved world something that is different in our lives. Something better than what they are now living. A difference in our life that is better than what they think they have…

Colossians 4:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

John Phillips said it this way; “Be wise in your behavior towards non-Christians, and make the best possible use of your time”.

I think the hardest thing is separating oneself from this world. We are told in 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

Looking back we see why this statement was made. 2 Corinthians 6:14 (NKJV) Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what [in common]fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what [fellowship]communion has light with darkness?

I feel that is the part that a lot of want-a-be Christians do not do. We have to come out from the unsaved and be separate. We can not walk with one foot in the world and one in Heaven (so to speak). I have made this statement many times before there is no middle ground between Christians and non-christian.

We are told no were that being a Christian would be easy. We are not told that we will not be tempted, nor will we not stumble from time to time, however we are told in Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The meaning of covetousness is; Feeling, expressing, or characterized by a strong or immoderate desire for the possessions of another.

We are to be OK with what we have for our Lord is with us and He will take care of us… I know and understand how that feeling is when we see what others have. However, we have something the world (lost or unsaved) does not have. One day we shall be in Heaven with Him and there we see in Revelation 21:3-4 (NKJV) 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

I pray that this devotional will help us understand that it is not an easy trip, but that it is one that when it is finished we can say, as Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7 Not A good fight, but THE good fight. Not A race, but THE race. And through it all he KEPT the FAITH

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…  This Ministry is supported with and by your love offerings, please consider helping us to spread the Gospel around the world.
