Warning to those who have not grown in Faith. The words “Born Again” meaning we are like a new born baby when we accept our Lord and Savior. When one has a child they are fed with a bottle and as they grow the diet is changed.

Warning Against Apostasy Or The Abandonment Of One’s Faith

As a baby one depends on the parent or a person to feed and take care of them. However in time they grow to do things for themselves. As Christians it is no different that is why we are told in 2 Timothy 2:15 to study to show ourselves approved. We are to grow in wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding.

How Did We Learn??

As a child we were in school and was taught how to communicate. We were taught what was needed. It seems though through the years the teaching has grown less and less. What I am saying, looking back I saw my mother with a third grade education. She could read, write, do math etc.

In fact I have a test that was given to eight graders in 1895 in Salina, KS. Here is the link if one wishes to look at it :

After Reading The Test

I wonder how many graduating college today could pass this test. My point is the enemy has been working for years even in the schools to dumb down us all. I am not the smartest person. I make mistakes however writing a morning prayer, a daily devotional, even an article has helped me.

When I Started This

I did a lot of things wrong. In fact there were a couple people who read and help me correct things however in nearly 5 years I have improved why because I studied and practiced. I did not accept what I was doing as good enough. Well the same goes for the Bible. One has to study it ask questions and research to grow.

Scripture For Lesson

Hebrews 5:11-14 (MEV) 11 Concerning this we have much to say that is hard to explain, since you have become hard of hearing. 12 For though by now you should be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God and have come to need milk rather than solid food. 13 Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are mature, for those who through practice have powers of discernment that are trained to distinguish good from evil.

One of the problems is our church building are filled with 20,30,40 and even 50 year old babies. They have not studied or read their Bible they sit and wait for the Preacher to teach them. Yes that is his duty however we all have a duty as will.

Matthew 28:18-20 (MEV) 18 Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

I believe that we are not only suppose to tell others about our Father and what Jesus did we are to explain to them WHY! We are to be about to make disciples. No were in that scripture does it say win their souls it says MAKE DISCIPLES. Does not say let someone else teach them it says for us to teach them to observe ALL things He has commanded us…

This is not just the Pastors duty or a select few it is for US ALL… In some cases one might just plant a seed, or maybe water it and help it grow, maybe even harvest from time to time. Be it one part or two or even all 3 parts. We need to know and understand.

The church, in some cases, has grown stagnate. People have Bibles they never open they use them to mark their seat in church. They use it as decoration on the coffee table for others to see. Because one owns a Bible does not make one a Christian, no more than owning a hammer make one a carpenter.

It is time for the CHURCH, meaning us, to get out from behind the closed doors of that building we call church and hit the street and win the lost… Is it is time to do something for Christ after all look what He did for us…
