Morning Prayer for the last day of March… April 1 is just around the corner. And I am feeling better, I think still a little congested and weak but other than that better than I was. The Lord has blessed me with, I guess you could call it wellness. For I do not get sick often but when I do I do it right.

Morning Prayer For Tuesday April 2, 2019
Morning Prayer For Tuesday April 2, 2019

I originally wrote this Sunday March 31, however I wanted to pray and talk to my Pastor about it. I was something that has been on my mind for months and now I am sure so here it is…

Thanks for all the prayers that have gone out they have worked. However I think sometimes I need to practice what I preach, and take a break. Our Father has a way of getting our attention if He feels He needs to. Sometimes we just need to slow down and (pardon the pun) smell the roses.

Sometimes Pastors, Ministers, Preachers and yes even Shepherds get so wrapped up in what we do we forget to come up for air… I can not speak for others I can only speak for me but it is like I do not wish to see anyone go to hell. I do not wish to see them hurt or in pain and our Father has to remind me that it is a choice and I can not make them for others only they can.

I once heard that someone dies every 20 seconds and goes to hell… That is a choice and I wish I could change that figure but all I can do is tell others and the decision is theirs to make. When Jesus Christ walked on the face of the earth there were people still dying and going to hell. Knowing and seeing what he had done and still not believing.

You know we have an owners manual that tells us what we can do and can not do, it’s called the Bible. For lack of a better word I will call it an owners manual. Or the directions of how to live. However we have people every day that goes to the store and buys stuff that has to be assembled and they try to do it without reading the instructions. Well being a Christian is no different.

The Bible is a guideline for life and we need to read it and know it, like it or not… One can not get away with John 3:16, The 23rd Psalm, Or Matthew 6:10-13 “The Lord’s Prayer”. This is and example of how one should pray. I am not trying to bust someones bubble. I am trying to help us to grow. Our Father knows our needs and our wants. Jesus gives us a sample of how to pray.

The Lord’s Prayer is one of the best loved and most spoken prayers on the planet. However can someone show me where it says pray this prayer daily or over and over? Even in the King James Version it says in verse 9 After this manner therefore pray ye… In fact in verse 7 we read–But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

When they were about to come after Jesus for His crucifixion and he took some with Him and asked them to keep watch and He went to pray and they fell asleep Matthew 26:36-45. In verse 40 He says to them “could you not keep watch with me for ONE HOUR” .

Then he went back again and prayed and again he returned and found the sleeping and then after the 3rd time He just let them sleep and He went back and prayed. My question does anyone believe that the Lord’s Prayer was what he was praying?

I feel the “Lord’s Prayer is a guide line of how to pray it is and outline of a prayer so we can learn how to pray. Do not think that I am here to cause a disagreement I am hoping that we all can learn to pray an effective prayer. My desire is to learn and pray in a way to have prayers answered.

I am as guilty as anyone when it comes to praying. That is one of the reasons I started doing this morning prayer. It is my way of talking to the Father and stating how I feel. Do I do it right all the time NO. I write this pray as I talk to and with our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit (or Ghost). I just write what I am thinking. Yes I even stop writing and read and look for what I desire to say.

When I Started This Two Words In Verse 7 Got Me VAIN, REPETITIONS

VAIN: Not yielding the desired outcome; fruitless. Lacking substance or worth. Having or showing excessive pride in one’s appearance or accomplishments; conceited. To no avail; without success, In an irreverent or disrespectful manner. Worthless, senseless or futile.

REPETITIONS: The act or an instance of repeating; reiteration, a thing, word, action, etc, that is repeated. A replica or copy. These two definitions of two words is what got me started our of verse 7 vain and repetitions. It seems sometimes we over look words that we either do not understand or do not like and just go on.

All I ask is that one thinks about what I have said in this pray and if the Lord thanks I am wrong may He show me In the mighty and precious name of Jesus I pray this—AMEN!

Thank you for reading and may God bless and be with you and watch over you. And let us understand, it is time for us to BLESS GOD…
