These last 2 year has been an experience I will not forget. I have gone through a lot with the loss of memory and the pain in my body. I am not sure why it is there or why it is happening, but I do know who is in charge and I have given it all to Him…
We allow things to happen and blame it on old age, or life in general. I think these scriptures will help if we allow them to and believe them also. It is time to start trusting God. I have read these verses over and over and over and yesterday they hit home. Lacking wisdom and doubting. I have used this age thing long enough.
James 1:5 (NKJV) 5,6
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
The first thing I read hit me like a sledgehammer (IF ANY OF YOU LACK WISDOM) and then we read, ask God…I am not dumb or stupid but I have read this over and over and did not see it. Our father will give it to us freely and without an expression of rebuking or disapproval.
When I read the definition I got mad at myself for this is what it said: 1. To express disappointment in or displeasure with (a person) for conduct that is blameworthy or in need of amendment 2. to make (something) a matter of reproach 3. to bring into discredit.
That is what I was doing with God… You want to talk about ashamed I was deeply and did not even think of it. So spent some time REPENTING and asking for forgiveness.
How many times have I read this scripture and gone right past this without a thought, have you done the same thing? How could anyone read this and not let it sink in for it is a fact? We need to trust in our Father more and listen to Him and let Him teach us.
Father, I pray this day that we all grow closer and stronger to You as we go about this day. May we reach out and let Your light shine through each of us this day. In Jesus’ precious name, I do pray this all. Amen!
