The Best Thing I Ever Did Was I Took Off The Old Coat

The best thing I could do I took off the old coat and I put on the NEW COAT. I love the thought that used when writing this song. If you have never heard it listen to it. I started listing to the Crabb Family a while back now the kids have sort of taken off on their on. This song is with Aaron and Amanda and then Jason has recorded some good ones as well.

Getting saved was the best thing that I ever did. I played music for years and I related to songs even before I was saved so that might explain why I am so attracted to music. I wish to share with you what I got out of these two songs and hope they might just touch you in a special way…

I using these three songs to do this devotional and I think it is a great way to get into the word for Jesus taught in parables. So I am going to try it myself for we listen to music and I think it is a good way and some times the best way to get the point across.

To listen to each of the song/videos click on the title…

“Two Coats” Aaron and Amanda Crabbs
The best thing to do is stop and listen to the song. The old coat is the world and the enemy, the new coat is accepting Jesus and then walking in the will of our Lord and the old coat was old it was dirty and tattered and worn, representing our lives before Salvation.

“Sometimes It Takes a Mountain” Jason Crabb and the Gaither Vocal Band
The next song is with Jason and this song is about the high mountain, sometimes a troubled sea and sometimes it takes a desert those representing the thing we face and sometimes we have to do so we will learn to trust Him, our Lord, and then for us to believe.

“Through The Fire” This one is with the whole Crabb Family
He is there and will always be there—He never promised the cross what not be heavy, your burden, however He will be there and he will wake in the furnace with you He will all ways be there.

I hope maybe this music will help you through whatever you might be facing right now.
