Comfortable With Prayer? When Did We Get Too Comfortable To Pray?

Comfortable with prayer we do it as though it is something we have to do as a Christian, in fact, there are a couple we can pray without even thinking about it. There is the good one in Psalms that David prayed that would be the 23rd Psalm and then there is the good one that Jesus did in Matthew 6:9-13

Comfortable With Prayer? When Did We Get Too Comfortable To Pray?

When did we start NOT needing God? When did we get to the point where we can do it without God? We came to an end in life that we all have become too comfortable, and without realizing it, left our first love, God.

Some may think they don’t NEED God because they have all the money they need or life is going so perfectly for them. Then what? Can one save himself? Can we defeat the devil on our own? We go about our perfect little lives doing as WE please, them when everything comes crashing down, or a loved one becomes ill the first thing that one says is, “God why did you do this?” Stop and think this through, have we become to Comfortable to pray.

If we were reading our bibles, we would see that it was the devil who did it and it was not God’s fault. We would be able to stand against satan just as it says in Ephesians chapter 6. The Bibles shows us that God is with us and never leaves us. So, we are the ones to blame. We are the ones who have gotten too comfortable to pray and pushed God away. And with our sins, have given satan an open invitation to come in and do as he, please. This is what happens when we remove God and get too comfortable to pray and walk away from God.

Our hedge of protection (God) has stepped away. Why? Because God cannot look upon sin, therefore we allowed satan an entrance. We must return to God. We must read our bibles, and we must stop blaming God for our actions.

We do not know when our time is up, or when we will die. We say we will wait until we are dying and give our lives to God. Sometimes one will die very quickly without getting that chance. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, ” If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and return from their ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” If we look at this verse very carefully, it will explain why we sometimes do not get an answer. “Pray and seek My face” God our Father is saying we must pray to Him and NO OTHER. If one is praying for anything or anyone else other than Him, then it is the reason for no answer. It will fall on dead ears.
