Children Of God What Is That To You

Children of God. I was wondering if anyone of you have ever stopped sat down and got totally quiet and thought about how much our Father loves you?

First Scriptures

1 John 3:1-3(MEV) 1 Consider how much love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Have you ever just stopped and thought about what our Father gave for you. What He put in your place so that you could be delivered for this sinful world and spend eternity with Him. Have you ever just though about what happened that day at Calvary and before.

Have you ever sat and thought about what it means to be Children of God. Do you understand that one day when He appears we shall be just like Him. We as His Children shall see Him as He really is. You will be able to see how much He loves you.

Faith and Hope run hand in hand here.

Faith: Confident or unquestioning belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. Belief or Trust.

Hope: The longing or desire for something accompanied by the belief in the possibility of its occurrence. There is the word Belief again, hummm…

Love: A feeling of devotion or adoration toward God. A feeling of kindness or concern by God toward humans.

We have all read the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:13 (MEV) So now abide faith, hope, and love, these three. But the greatest of these is love.

These 3 words go hand in hand. FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. We need all three, but without LOVE the other two are useless as a Christian. In fact I believe one can not leave any of the 3 out of ones life and be a Christian.

Second Scriptures

For if we continue reading we find in 1 John 3:4-6 (MEV) 4 Whoever practices sin breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that He was revealed to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever remains in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has not seen Him and does not know Him.

Now here is a wake up call we read verses1-3 we read about being children of God and one day being like Him and then along comes verses 4-6… If we practices sin we are breaking the law. Now wait a minute I thought we were saved by Grace what is it about the law.

Well there are laws that have been laid out by Jesus for us. We are saved by grace and by faith we accept it. Then Jesus tells us thinks like love our enemies. Here is a list of things that as Christians we should be and do. I do hope this helps us learn and walk as Christians.
