Understanding Who’s We Are And Who We Are…

Understanding the word, understanding what Jesus did for us, understanding what God did for us. Are we so wrapped up in self that we do not even think about what is going on around us?

1 John 3:1-3 (MEV) 1 Consider how much love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

STOP! Be still and know that I am God–Psalm 46:10 (MEV) Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. When is the last time that you stopped, shut out the world, and listened?

When is the last time you actually prayed and I am not speaking of some generic mumble jumble I am talking stopped hit our knees and cried out to the Lord. Have you ever? Our Father deserves more than the two minutes you mumble as you have your coffee before out the door.

Well I was reading that the divorce rate has fallen, has it really? They talked about in the last 10 years but used a scale from 2008 to 2016 that is 8 years not 10. If we twist things around we can make it work. Could it just be fewer are getting married and just living together in sin?

We all make mistakes I know. We see the one, we decided in about 15 seconds and then a few months later meet the real person and are not happy with what we have so time to move on… NO, you made your bed sleep in it. Am I happy all the time—NO. Do I make bad decisions—YES. Its called life, we need to stop and look around at ourselves.

An example of True Love is our Father and John 3:16 (MEV) “ And Jesus’ prayer Luke 22:42 (MEV) “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”

If we spent as much time in prayer as we do in front of the TV. If we spent as much time in prayer or studying the word as we do working where would we be in our relationship with our Father. It is time that we get over our few minutes and hoping it is enough. When we pray for no reason except we just wanted to be there with Him.

Stop and think about 1 John 3:3 (MEV) Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Do we, do we purify ourselves reading this “ Everyone who HAS purified himself just as HE IS PURE… Are we? Do we? Will we?

Let us get a hold of 1 John 3:2 (MEV) Beloved, now are we children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. I think it is time for us to learn to be REAL children of God… This is not a game we have to have it right when we are called home and no one knows the time or the day…

Are we understanding WHO’S we are and WHO we are in Christ? Do we actually understand?
