Matthew 7:24-27 (MEV) 24 “Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. 25 And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded a rock. 26 And every one who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it fell. And its fall was great.”

The devotional today is a simple one, however, is a very good one. If you have read the entire chapter it is all about choices–it is about judging others, asking, seeking, and knocking, The narrow and the wide gate, a tree and its fruit, I never knew you, and then the construction of two houses by two different builders which I feel the Holy Spirit has lead me to do as the devotional today.

If you were going to build a house would you buy a parcel of land from a picture and hare a builder from an ad? Or would you go check out the land and maybe talk to a couple different people about the builder? Even check the better business bureau the point is the same with our Lord we have the Bible we have Prayer [also listening after we pray] we have our church we have friends we can ask and talk to.

Well these verses are about our life and who we listen to, our Father or the enemy, the defeated one. Our Fathers house is built on the solid rock of our faith and belief in our Lord and Savior and the other choice is the enemy and his house built in the sand or the muck and mar. The choice is yours to make. My prayer is that you make the right choice…
