Colossians 3:1-4 (MEV) 1 If you then were raised with Christ, desire those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on earth. 3 For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life shall appear, then you also shall appear with Him in glory.

I think this scripture explains itself. We are in Christ (a Christian) then we are dead to this world, or we are not a part of this world we are hidden with Christ in our Father.

If I had written this scripture it probably would sound like this. 1. If you have been saved, asked Jesus into your heart. Then you are born and again and you shall desire those things in Heaven were Christ is. Sitting at the right hand of our Father. 2. Then you should set your affection on those things that are waiting for you in Heaven and forget about the things here on earth. 3. For when you accepted Jesus into your heart you are actually dead to this world and you are hidden in Jesus’ shed blood. 4. When Jesus appears that day, then we will be with Him in Heaven for eternity…

That is what I got out of this scripture and I hope and pray that you see what I feel from this. The desire of our Father is to love Him and desire to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. When we sin, which we will do, we need to repent instantly and ask for forgiveness and mean it. We are to walk as Christians and let our actions show who we are.

We want people to desire what we have more than what the world offers. We should allow our actions be seen so that our Father gets all the glory and we receive the blessings from Him. I pray today we will work on being more like Jesus and every day to follow…
