1 Timothy 3:4 (NKJV) one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence

I know there are a large amount of homes without a male figure in it. I know there are a lot of men that do not deserve to be the head of the household and that is mainly because they have no idea who God is or what he desires of a man. I also know there are families without a male that claimed to be a Christian however is not there and I did say claimed to be for if they had been really saved they would know right from wrong. Moving on

1 Peter 3:1 (NKJV) Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,

Now this scripture has been taken by some men as you will do as I say, however that is not right this verse does not say that for being submissive does not mean DOORMAT. I think God was talking about the man taking charge in praying leading in the study of the Bible and being a man supporting the family. The reason I say that is the next verse.

Ephesians 5:21 (NKJV) submitting to one another in the fear of God.

Submitting to one another. The home may be our Castle men however a smart man knows who runs the castle, and it ain’t him. We will leave that right there for now.

Ephesians 6:1-3 (NKJV) 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

Here is the one that is more trouble than all the others for children are like a wild horse the when run yell and buck and try to throw you off. However it is our job dad and mom to keep them in order. Mom when you feed the meals dad should be fed first to keep the Godly order in place to show the children that you respect your husband and he is the head of the household. Husbands you are to respect your wives and treat them like the Queen they are. Remember we are the example of Jesus to the children and when they see us respect one another they will as well.

I am not going to jump into this with both feet for this is a devotional and not an article however I promise an article in more depth.
