God Hears Our Prayers

1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men

1 Timothy 2:8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

I do believe that this scripture, in our case, the word men means Christians. However that is not what this devotional is about. The final words in verse 8 is what stopped me– “wrath and doubting”

The word wrath means: strong vengeful anger or indignation, retributory punishment for an offense or a crime, divine chastisement

The word doubting means: uncertain; distrusts or hesitates; having doubts.

In other words we need to go to prayer without any anger or indignation we should not doubt that our God hears our prayers. I truly believe that before starting to pray we need to leave it all at the altar. I have started a prayer room, or closet. It is where I go to pray in the morning before I come here or do my morning prayer or the daily devotional. Anything is left at the door, I told Debbie if I am there I am not to be disturbed unless an emergency.

I feel prayer is most powerful tool we have to wage war on our enemy. We are in a war and some have turned their backs on God. They say we are not a Godly country some even say there is no God. I have come to the conclusion that I am where I am and I am going to do everything I can to help Christians grow and tell anyone about God and what he did.

My goal is to do away with the lie or the excuse. Those around me that are not saved will not be able to say “I didn’t know” I desire that God opens one of the books and says on such and such day, month and year at this time Jym Wells told you how to come to know me, and you said I will later or I do not believe or whatever excuse. So yes you did know. It is our place to tell them and if the do accept then we are to teach and train or get them in a church that will teach them. One can teach anyone what they know.

I pray that today is the beginning of repentance and prayers. A while back I asked for members to pick a day to pray for our leaders our country and our world. We had 13 people to say they would pray on a day by picking a day of the month and on that said day they would pray. I did not question anyone if they are praying on the day of the month. However I think I will do it again for we have grown so much.

I pray that we have grown in our prayer life and continue to grow…

Memory Verse for August 19, 2015

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

May God be with you and watch over you. And America it is time for us to BLESS GOD again…

Psalm 5:8 (NKJV)
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.

  1. Well I try to stay away from doubt!! That word to me means a negative word!~To me it says I do not believe!~ And Wrath I stay away from also!~I learned being mad accomplishes nothing but trouble!!~ The word says in Proverbs it says an angry person makes mistakes!I~It also says It does not please GOD because because if we are angry we cannot do anything in the Kingdom!!~And anger branches out into more trouble than you want!!~I am amazed at the words you say have a great in pact on you and others!!~ Angry words are dangerous !~So I could go on and on but there are so many branches to go through when it comes to doubt and wrath!!~

  2. In fact I would love to do a teaching an those two words actually about and the heart. I have done some at church before!~ But It really loved it!!
