Healing Asking God for It

Healing… Asking God for it, we are believing in Gods power to heal us and what Jesus did for us on the cross. In Isaiah we see the prophecy of the coming of a servant. Isaiah 53:5 (NCV) But He was wounded for the wrong we did; He was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to Him, and we are healed because of His wounds. Again in 1 Peter 2:24 (NCV) Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And you are healed because of his wounds.

If one did not believe in God ability to heal us, we would not ask God for a healing in the first place. We read in Mark 11:24 (NCV) So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you. We need to meditate, think deeply or focus ones mind for a period of time, on Gods Word. For we read in Proverbs 4:23 (NCV) Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life. So maybe one should spend a little less time in front of the TV or the phone, internet, or books etc. Then we read in Proverbs 4:20-22 (NCV) 20 My child, pay attention to my words; listen closely to what I say. 21 Don’t ever forget my words; keep them always in mind. 22 They are the key to life for those who find them; they bring health to the whole body.

When we pray for healing, one should instantly believe one has received the healing already, we should believe as thought it has happened. We thank God for whatever as though it has been done, if it has or not we pray thanking Him for it. Why one might ask, well it is building ones faith in God and showing our God that we believe in our hearts by faith in Him. That Jesus did not die in vain.
