The Word

The Word Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us

The Word Became Flesh, and Dwelt Among Us, ever since the beginning of the world, Jesus was with God. The Bible states that in Genesis 1:26 (ESV)  Then God said, “Let us make man[The Hebrew word for man (adam) is the generic term for mankind and becomes the proper name Adam] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”  in John 1:1 ” In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God,”

It Says in John 1:14 (ESV)  “And the word became flesh,& dwelt among us,& we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten son of the Father, full of Grace and truth.”

Jesus explains Himself as “the bread of life“, in John 6:31-35 (ESV) 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” 32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. 34 They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”  35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

Luke 8:10-11 (ESV) 10 he said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 11 Now the parable is this: ‘ The seed is THE WORD OF GOD’.

Jesus was talking about the sower who went out to sow his seed, and the different places it fell. If you are reading it like it is a gardener, then you need to read your Bible more to get a better understanding of God’s parables.

In Ephesians 6:10-18 it explains to you about putting on the whole Armor of God so that one can stand against the devil. And we are to take up our Sword of the Spirit which is THE WORD OF GOD.  You can not fight satan alone, he is too strong. But if you go to the word of God, you become stronger than satan, because you have God and Jesus standing with you in battle. Ephesians 6:10-18 (ESV) 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God,[not part all of it] that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

I will end with Deuteronomy 30:11-14 (ESV) 11 “For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?14 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.
