Love One Another As Jesus First Loved Us

Love one another I do believe the key to understanding this and other statements about love is to know that this love (the Greek word agape) is not so much a matter of emotion as it is of doing things for the benefit of someone else, other than, having an unselfish concern for another and a willingness to seek the best for another.

John 13:34-35 (MEV) 34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this, all men will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.”

I believe that we need to start showing our love more than just saying the word LOVE. Do we really mean it when we say it? Is saying “I love you” to someone that is starving, when one has the ability to actually give to or sharing with said person, but instead walking away and leaving them hungry is that really love?

When we say the word love to another, do we actually Love one another or is it mouth service?  Do we really mean we love them and will do anything for them?

Romans 5:8 (MEV) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
