1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 (MEV) 16 Rejoice always. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Rejoice Always: Psalm 81:1, 95:1, 95:2, 98:4 98:6
Let us look at Rejoice In The Lord also: 1 Samuel 2:1, Psalm 33:1, Psalm 97:12, Isiah 41:16, Isiah 61:10, Joel 2:23, Habakkuk 10:7, Philippians 3:1, Philippians 4:4, Philippians 4:10, Philemon 1:20 I think we get the idea now. Next come Pray Without Ceasing I think we understand that one we need to pray about and for everything. Next we see In Everything Give Thanks (more praying) This is the will, desire of our Lord.

OK, Now let us look at the DO NOT’S simple things however so hard to do…

19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good. 22 Abstain from all appearances of evil.

Do Not QUENCH the Spirit: Do not put it out, do not suppress or squelch, do not slack or be satisfied do not let it cool off.

Do Not DESPISE prophecies: Do Not have contempt or scorn. dislike intensely. Do Not regard with utter contempt: despises incompetence; contemned the dictator’s actions; disdained my suggestion; scorns sentimentality.

Examine all things Do not just accept what one might preach or teach check it out. Then come despise incompetence: Lack of ability or capacity: inability, incapability, incapacity, incompetency, powerlessness.

Now comes the big one Abstain from all appearances of evil. This could be taught in churches for months across the United States. It did not say do not do worldly things, abstain (in place English) resist from doing something, dp not look like or act like the world.

I have seen some things in the church that looks like it is straight out of hell. Some of the people dress like it is Saturday night and they heading to the local night club. We are to be above all that and I am talking to ladies now. I am a man so I think I know what the world likes I was there and still live there. When pants look like they are two sizes to small or shorts cut way to short or tops that show to much.

That does nothing but entices a males inter person. Guys we have some problems as well so we are not above it as well. One big one is some tats that should be x rated. Those smokeless cigarettes, non alcohol beverages etc. We are to come out from them and be separate as we read in 2 Corinthians 6:17 and if we do this we WILL be accepted.

I know this is a little long and I am sorry however I think it was something that needs to be said…
