James 1:5-6 {NKJV) 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
This scripture caught my attention today, how many times have we asked our Father and or Jesus a question and then hoped it was right. I think three words caught my attention WITH NO DOUBTING. Do I doubt when I pray, do I doubt when I speak. I honestly believe that has and does happen. I know my faith is real but sometimes I feel unsure.
Am I doing the right thing, am I saying the right thing, did I take something out of context? Those are questions I ask myself a lot. I ask the Lord to tell me if I am or do and then I still doubt from time to time. I have no doubt that I am doing what I am to be doing.
Sometimes the enemy sneaks in and puts that doubt in me I am sure. I spend much time doing what I do and sometimes it does not come easy, like today. I think I was shown what the problem is with this scripture. Do I sometimes doubt that what I say is from the Lord? Do I feel insecure do I feel wise enough? Well this scripture woke me up, if the Lord did not want me doing this then why am I here?
Why do I feel guilty about not speeding as much time as I feel I should here? Those are questions I am asking myself. Lord I do not desire to lead anyone down the wrong path or mislead anyone. If I am not to be doing this why am I still here doing it.
Forgive me Father for doubting, forgive me for my weakness, thank You for Your love and kindness. Thank You for giving me the strength to go on and for giving me a good mind to listen to You and hear You for all this time and I pray for more wisdom and knowledge for the future for all of us that seek it. In the Precious name of Jesus Christ I do pray this all—AMEN!
