Morning Prayer For Saturday May 4, 2019

Morning Prayer, Lord what shall we pray about today. What can I say or do to get more people praying and getting the work done that needs to be done. I feel so little in the war and the attacks of the enemy are coming more and more…

The one thing I do know, with our Morning Prayer, is I must be on the right path for I think I am keeping him up nights. Lord I just want to see others trusting in you. I want them to listen to You and do as You lead them. I know that You love us all and wish the best for us all.

1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Yes I do believe that this is so true today. Yes we need money to live however do we trust our Father or do we seek after it out of lust…

We do not and have not wanted a big home or expensive car. I love the place we are in now, it is not fancy at all, nor is it big. But it is home. We do not have a lot, however, there are many that have less. One day it will be finished and we can sit and enjoy our little home.

It seems every month that Debbie and I start out short and some how our Lord sees us through it. We have food to eat and clothes to wear. We do not eat, as one might say, high on the hog. But we eat. We do not have new clothes all the time however we do have clean clothes. We all take things for granted until we loose them.

We get up every morning and do what we do, through our Morning Prayer. We go to our jobs or what we have for that day. We take it for granted that we can go. How many times have we thanked God our Father for the ability to go. However if we loose it we can get angry at Him for it. Why does something bad have to happen to get some of us to pray.

Just thinking Father. If we have a car and take care of it. You know, change the oil fix what is broke etc. it will last us for years. However if we just take it for granted it will quit one day and we will start to pray about how much we need it to get to work etc. We pray after the fact more than we pray before the fact. Or do normal things to our car to take care of it.

I know I am comparing our Father with a car. However if we take care of our relationship with him like we take care of things what shape would we been in? I am serious now when we get in our car to go do we ask Him which way to go. Do we leave with enough time to get there or do we have to speed and break the law to get there?

Think about that person that you pulled out in front of in a hurry or passed in a no passing zone because you are late. And the first thing he or she sees is your Jesus Loves You sticker on the back of your car. Think about it, do we believe they are impressed with Jesus at that moment? Would they listen to you if you were to stop and tell them about the Love of Jesus?

Is it time Father for us to get our priorities in order. Is it time that we actually start being what we say we are. Our government officials in Washington D C about 80% of them claim to be Christians and they fight and scratch for the all mighty dollar every day. They will sell their souls for it and they have in a lot of cases.

One cannot serve God and money… Matthew 6:24 (NKJV) “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and [riches]mammon.

Scriptures For Today

Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV) Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Proverbs 13:11 (NKJV) Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished,
But he who gathers by labor will increase.
Luke 12:15 (NKJV) And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of [all]covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

Our Father says in Malachi 3:10 (NKJV) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Ending this mornings prayer with this thought “Instructions to the Rich” 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (NKJV) 17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

In the wonderful and most precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior I do pray this all—AMEN!
