People of Action

Isaiah 58:1-3 (NKJV) 1 “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek Me daily, And delight to know My ways, As a nation that did righteousness, And did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God. 3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’
I want to start this out with a story. There is this town called Duckville and all the Ducks wattled here and they’re going about what the have to do. Then on Sunday the dad duck and the mom duck and all the little ducks wattle to Church and find their favorite seat in the Church and the Pastor duck gets up and has all the ducks to open their Bibles to Isaiah 40:30-31 (NKJV) 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
All of the stood and shouted [quacked loud] they flapped their wings in agreement. The Pastor duck finished the message and prayed and all the ducks got up and waddled out the door and waddled home.
Moral of the story what good is the wings of eagles if they are not used. The scripture is no good if we do not use it, let us become people of action “It is not about how much of the Bible one knows it is about how much of the Bible one applies.”
