Preach The Word Not What Man Says

Preach the Word… I think this scripture says it about a good as it can be said. Is the end near I am not saying that what I am saying though is that I am one more day closer to meeting my Father than I was yesterday.

2 Timothy 4:2-5 (NKJV) 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

I think we get so wrapped up in the END-TIMES that we forget about our own end time. We need to be ready to go all the time. There is no guarantee how much time we have left and I am speaking not as the world but as individuals. In fact we are living in verse 3 right now…

I have not been saved all my life however I have watched things change and it is getting faster and faster. Verse 3 says the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. Look around it is everywhere. Church building have either closed down or switched to Sunday morning only services.

Some will not preach about the shed blood of Jesus nor hell. They do not want to offend others. Well I am worried about offending my Lore. I am worried about people going to hell believing in lies. The whole chapter (2 Timothy 4) is there for the reading.

I believe that this scripture is for Christians not just Preachers, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. I believe we all are evangelist we all are to spread the good news. In our walk and in our talk. In fact we are told in 2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

Is that clear enough? He did not say should not he said DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN. We are to COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM. We are to be SEPARATE. I think that is about as plain and simple as it can get… Now it is up to us to follow His instructions.
