The Word Of Christ Should Dwell In Us

The Word of our Lord should be in us always in all that we do. All wisdom and teaching in all that we do. This devotional today is concerning the Word and what it should mean to us. I am using 2 books of the Bible to try and get a point across.

Colossians 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Philippians 4:18-20 (NKJV) 18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

First we see in Colossians 3:16 that the words of our Lord and Savior should be in us in all our wisdom, teaching and admonishing. His grace should be in our hears as we sing and speak the Psalms and hymns. Then let us give thanks to our Father in whatever we do in word or deed.

If we do this then we find in Philippians 4:19 He will supply ALL our needs according to His riches in Heaven. Not some of our needs all of them. Not our wants our needs, I think sometimes we get wants and needs mixed up. I am finding it is better to allow Him to give and we accept it and find that is what we need exactly…

I pray that we work on and understand His words and believe them. Let us sing and be joyful in all that we do. Let us show our Fathers love in everything we do. We are here for a purpose so let us find our purpose and do what we have been called to do…
