Yes, there is a problem in the Church today and I am not talking about the building. I am speaking to the Church the people in it. We have set around and listened to people tell us what they think our Father is saying and not trying to understand it. Not reading the Word or listening to it. Not studying the Word, and knowing it.

Hebrews 5:12-14 (NKJV) 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the [sayings, Scriptures]oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are [mature]of full age, that is, those who by reason of [practice]use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
As I have stated before we have people sitting in the pews, even in the same spot for ears and have no idea what the Bible says or even where to find it. I am not talking about a year or so I am talking about 25 years and more. And we wonder why this world is in the shape it is in. This is what Paul is saying in verse 12, you should be teaching others and yet you still need someone to teach you.
This is why I started writing a book. I was and am going to teach Soul Winning however before that we need to understand who we are in Christ first. How can anyone teach someone if they do not know themselves?
How can one teach someone to drive a car if they, themselves, do not know how to drive. And that goes on all through life we have to be taught ourselves before we can teach. Sitting in a church does not make you a Christian it is like sitting at a table and not eating and hoping you will get full by looking at the food.
The first thing you have to do is get some on your plate and eat it. That is how it is with the Word start reading it and studying it and learning it then go out and use it. Walking up to a person and asking them “If you died right now would you go to Heaven”? And not knowing what to do or say is like saying “I do not either”…
It is time to get real. I wonder what would have happened in WW2 if the soldiers had been just given a gun and told to go defend America, how that would have turned out. Or if Henry Ford got some stuff together and said OK this is a automobile. Or the The Wright brothers had took a box open the flaps up and said this is and airplane. I pray we get the picture here.
It is time to get out of the pews and into the streets. It is time for others to hear the truth, yes it is up to them to decide yes or no. However it is our duty to be able to tell them and show them what the Word says…
I pray that we all learn this scripture and understand it and get up and start talking about Jesus and what we have to look forward to. Quoting a quote I read yesterday “We often hear life is short… so enjoy it—How about Eternity is long, we better prepare for it”!
