Your First Love

People do get wrapped up in a lot of things when it comes to church. What to wear, it makes no difference big or small. Go just so everyone knows you go, just to be seen. I don’t line the music. It is a long way from home to even go to that church. The people are snobby!~ No one welcomes you to the church when you walk in. I don’t feel any love at all. Look what the preachers wife is wearing usually the best dressed, The preacher kids are wild running all over the sanctuary, You would think he would tell them to stop and find a seat and get in it. We all have our opinions. But the most important thing is your relationship with Jesus Christ!` Your First Love! That’s what matters to me! I read this John 13:35 Love is the answer and if it is not in the people it is no what God desires
This is the problem in a lot of church building today. First off I think the Pastor has lost his first love, he is doing what he does because that is what he was taught to do. It is all about the offering and making money [the real love] 1 Timothy 6:10. Problem that is in some churches today, God blessed and the church building got bigger and then the money took over it was slow however it happened. There is no love in those churches there is no God in the church according to 1 John 4:8 no love no God.
We are the Church not the building and a lot off people show up with their new Bible in hand [for looks] The bible sits in its spot on the coffee table and is picked up on Sunday as they head out the door to church. All is dressed well however the children have their games and mom and day have on their phony smiles. The service starts with the latest songs. No one has asked God how he felt about this song or that song, it is just the top song on the local Christian station. Songs are written by song writers. A lot of them have no ideal who God is, again it’s about the money.
Then the Pastor gets up and talks about the tithe and giving. Then he mentions his Sermon. I would like to stand at the door and ask everyone that walks out what the name of the Sermon was. A large amount could not tell you or even remember one verse from the sermon. They show up and put money in the offering plate and hope that is good enough to get into Heaven. Unfortunately a lot of quote unquote churches are now business’. I suggest that if you are in a church like that you leave and find a new one quick. Talk to God and ask Him to lead you and He will.
